Chuck Grassley, the longest serving member of the US Senate, was treated for the infection, his office said


Sen. Chuck Grassley, the longest-serving member of the U.S. Senate, is receiving antibiotic injections in the hospital to treat the infection, according to a statement from his office.

The Iowa Republican is 90 years old.

His office says the senator is in good spirits and will return to work “as soon as possible following doctors’ orders.”
