A new resolution has been introduced to expel Republican Representative George Santos from Congress
The move comes a day after a scathing Ethics Commission report into his behaviour.

Embattled Republican Rep. George Santos faces another expulsion from Congress.
Republican Rep. Michael Guest, chairman of the House Ethics Committee, introduced the resolution on Friday — one day after his committee released a controversial report stating that a months-long investigation into the New York congressman “revealed a complex web of illegal activities in which Rep. Santos. Election campaign, personal and business finances.”
Guest said, in a statement, that the evidence discovered by the committee “is more than sufficient to justify the penalty, and the most appropriate penalty is expulsion.”

The resolution cites the commission’s findings as well as the criminal charges against Santos, to which he has pleaded not guilty, and the trials of his campaign treasurer and former fundraiser.
It states that “due to his egregious violations” Santos is unfit to serve.
