Embattled Republican Rep. George Santos faces another expulsion from Congress.
Republican Rep. Santos. Election campaign, personal and business finances.”
Guest said, in a statement, that the evidence discovered by the committee “is more than sufficient to justify the penalty, and the most appropriate penalty is expulsion.”
The resolution cites the commission’s findings as well as the criminal charges against Santos, to which he has pleaded not guilty, and the trials of his campaign treasurer and former fundraiser.
It states that “due to his egregious violations” Santos is unfit to serve.
