Can John Bramnick save the New Jersey Republican Party? I hope so
Can State Sen. John Bramnick save New Jersey’s Republican Party?
When I first came to New Jersey in 1987, it was a swing state. But over the years, as the national Republican Party drifted rightward, it became harder for New Jersey Republicans to win.
Now the party is burdened by Donald Trump’s definition of a missing leader. He is like the president of a third world country or a communist country. He despises people, but many love him. Why? I think a lot of people see that America has lost to the world, and want the “good old days” back (even if that’s not the case). They’re looking for a demagogue, and Trump fills the bill.
