Another lawsuit was filed to challenge the state’s electoral maps.

This time, plaintiffs say the redistricting effort violates North Carolina’s constitutional right to hold fair elections.

The lawsuit was filed just last week in Wake County, seeking the repeal and redrawing of the General Assembly and several congressional maps.

Without the judge’s intervention, the newly drawn electoral maps will be used for the first time in next month’s primary election.
