An Amazon driver has been fired for trying to steal a Henry County woman’s puppy from her yard


A Henry County woman says an Amazon driver dropped off a package and then tried to steal her dog. A video of the confrontation has now gone viral on social media.

Terica Currence said Channel 2 Larry Spruill She owns her own skincare company called Beyond Skin Deep.

She said: “When I opened the door to put the package in the house, and the dog food, my daughter screamed and said: ‘The Amazon man stole our puppy.’”

Corrence said she immediately dropped the products she ordered on the ground and ran outside to confront the Amazon driver.

“[Expletive] Amazon did take my [expletive] My dog ​​is out [expletive] The yard,” she can be heard saying in the video.

In the video, Currence can be seen opening the doors to the back of the Amazon truck and yelling at him.

“Once I opened the truck, the puppy was inside the trash can. I had to grab the puppy and get him out of the truck,” she described.

The driver was not charged, but Corrence said he was about to leave with her puppy.

“He was ready to go with our dog,” she said.

Spruill asked Currence if the driver had apologized or explained.

“No,” she replied, “no explanation was given.”

Corrence said she called the police and filed a complaint with Amazon.

Channel 2 News I also contacted Amazon regarding this incident. A spokesperson issued a statement saying:

“We have apologized to the customer and are glad his dog was returned unharmed. The driver in question is no longer delivering for Amazon and we have reached out to law enforcement for assistance during the investigation.

“I’m relieved he got fired, but if he’s doing things like that, I’m sure you know that’s part of his character. He’ll do it again,” Curence said.

The police are investigating and investigating this incident.
