Ohio mother Krista Piper Grundy began to panic when her 3-year-old daughter, Lily, went missing in a crowded museum.

“My first instinct was to call her name,” Grande, 36, says. TODAY.com. Then she said she remembered seeing a video on TikTok about a mother who found herself in a similar situation.

“She said to shout out a description of what your child is wearing because that way people know what to look for,” Grande says. “So I started shouting, ‘Little girl, a pink Minnie Mouse shirt!’ Then other parents joined in and were chanting, ‘Little girl, a pink Minnie Mouse shirt!’”

Moments later, Lily was found safe and sound.

“I was in tears and Lily was just playing and completely oblivious to the fact that I was frantically looking for her,” Grande recalled.

Later that day, Grande shared the story on TikTok, where it garnered thousands of comments.

“I heard a mother doing this one day in the park. The baby was fine and was playing but people quickly pointed her out,” one person wrote.

Another added: “I saw a mother in a mall doing this, and a man upstairs heard and shouted ‘Hello!’ We have a missing child! * Repeat description ‘Found in 30 seconds.'”
