Police seized 600 fentanyl dosage units in a traffic stop


Police in Monroe arrested the user of their K9 unit on Sunday, seizing 600 fentanyl dosage units.

Theodore Elliott III, of Monroe, had an active warrant for a previous traffic stop as he fled from investigators on foot, a news release said.

Elliott was arrested on the active warrant and charged with trafficking in opium, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
