While her belongings were being packed into trash bags, Long reportedly threw a bag at her and she fled the apartment.
Long is accused of chasing her through the parking lot, throwing her to the ground, picking her up and carrying her back to the apartment, where he held her down with his forearm. Finally, she sprayed him with pepper spray and managed to escape.
Authorities say the couple’s relationship has a history of domestic violence.
During the four-day trial, jurors heard testimony from eight witnesses, including the victim and the off-duty officer.
A date for sentencing has not yet been set.
