The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a third person in a fatal shooting on I-77 in August
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a third arrest in the Aug. 3 I-77 shooting death of Marquis Banks in Greene, according to a news release.
Giovanni Porter, 23, of Carrollton, Texas, is charged with first-degree murder; A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Porter is the third person to be charged in the incident.
Indictment: Servonte Suggs, 18, was indicted by a Summit County grand jury in the fatal shooting on I-77.
Also charged are 18-year-old Servonte Suggs and 20-year-old Ahmare Williams.
Suggs has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, including two counts of murder, felonious assault with a firearm and a drive-by shooting specification as well as aggravated murder.
Williams has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, two counts of murder and felonious assault. All had firearm characteristics, according to court documents.
Williams also faces charges in the Aug. 16 shooting death of Antonio Luis, 17, and the April 2023 death of Tyson Arnold, 24, in the shooting death.
Shooting on I-77 in August
Ohio Department of Transportation footage showed a southbound pickup truck on I-77 firing several shots at Banks’ car at approximately 6:15 p.m. on August 3.
Banks’ car veered across the grass median and collided with a Mercedes, sustaining minor injuries to its driver. Banks was pronounced dead at the scene.
