A toddler died after being pulled from a Kansas City trailer home fire on Tuesday
A young child has died after a fire at a mobile home and RV park Tuesday morning in Kansas City.
Crews responded to the fire around 9 a.m. at a trailer home at the La Casita Mobile Home and RV Park in the 3300 block of Oakland Avenue, where they learned a child was trapped inside the home, police spokesman Michael Hopkins said. Kansas City Fire Department.
First responders found the child, and emergency medical personnel transported the child to Mercy Children’s Hospital. The child, who was between 4 and 6 years old, was pronounced dead at the hospital, Hopkins said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
