Deputies say employees at a metro Atlanta cemetery have stolen from grieving families for years
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating allegations that employees at a local cemetery committed fraud nearly three years ago.
Deputies said the allegations involve employees at Mozley Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Sweetwater Road in Lithia Springs.

According to the investigation, employees used “deceptive measures,” taking money for tombstones, plaques, cemetery plots, and coercively signing transactions.
Deputies believe that these acts were committed between January 2021 and the end of October 2023.
No arrests have been made.
