4 People Responsible for $49,000 Heist Arrested in San Francisco: SFPD

San Francisco (Crohn’s) – Four retail theft suspects have been arrested after carrying out several crimes in San Francisco, the San Francisco Police Department announced Monday. In total, the suspects are responsible for $49,000 in stolen merchandise, according to SFPD.

The suspects were identified as:

  • Savannah Church, 24-year-old woman

  • Shalea Brown, 24-year-old woman

  • Erika Thomas, 20-year-old woman

  • Emoni Thomas, a 20-year-old man

Church was arrested in connection with ten retail thefts that occurred between April and September. All of them involved several other suspects. The following are the crimes for which she was arrested:

  • On April 23, 2023, in the 3200 block of 20th Street, merchandise valued at more than $3,400 was stolen along with two other suspects.

  • On May 19, 2023, merchandise valued at more than $6,600 was stolen along with six other suspects from the Powell Street apartment building. Three juvenile suspects were also arrested.

  • On June 10, 2023, in the 400 block of Mission Street, merchandise valued at more than $1,000 was found in a robbery along with three other suspects.

  • On July 20, 2023, in the 400 block of Mission Street, merchandise valued at more than $5,700 was stolen along with three other suspects.

  • On August 17, 2023, in the 400 block of Mission Street, merchandise valued at more than $6,600 was stolen along with three other suspects.

  • On August 21, 2023, in the 2400 block of San Bruno Street, merchandise valued at more than $2,200 was found with eight other suspects.

  • On August 22, 2023, in the 400 block of Mission Street, merchandise valued at over $1,800 was stolen in a robbery with two other suspects in which one of the suspects pushed and injured a store employee.

  • On August 24, 2023, in the 1100 block of Potrero Street, merchandise valued at more than $3,600 was stolen along with four other suspects.

  • On August 30, 2023, in the 400 block of Mission Street, merchandise valued at more than $4,400 was stolen along with four other suspects.

  • September 4, 2023, in the 400 block of Mission Street, merchandise valued at more than $8,300 was found with two other suspects.

Brown was arrested in connection with three retail crimes:

  • Oct. 1, 2023, in the 400 block of Haight Street, merchandise valued at more than $600 was found in a robbery along with seven other suspects. Brown was identified as a suspect who allegedly assaulted an employee with a device that fired gel pellets, causing serious injury.

  • On October 3, 2023, in the 2400 block of San Bruno Street, merchandise valued at over $2,300 was taken in a robbery with 4 other suspects in which Brown allegedly brandished a weapon at an employee.

  • On October 11, 2023, in the 900 block of Geneva Street, merchandise valued at more than $1,500 was stolen along with eight other suspects. Five other adults and juveniles were also arrested.

He and Thomas were involved in the Church burglaries on June 10 and Aug. 21, and in the Oct. 1 and Oct. 3 robberies with Brown, police said.

Thomas and Thomas were also connected to a fifth robbery in the 2000 block of Fillmore Street where they were joined by seven other suspects in stealing $1,000 worth of merchandise on August 10. They were arrested for this theft.

All four suspects identified in this story were arrested on felony charges of aggravated assault, battery causing serious injury, robbery, acting with one or more persons to steal merchandise, grand theft, burglary, and committing a crime while out on bail for another crime.
