Sheriff’s deputies have released the names of the victims who were found shot to death on Sunday
the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Authorities have released the names and ages of the two people found shot to death in a southeast Ocala home over the weekend.
Authorities said they have identified the deceased as 32-year-old Kevin Ray Russell and 60-year-old Sandy Kara Popman. Both Russell and Bobman were discovered late Sunday morning inside a home in the 300 block of Southeast 52nd Street in the Whispering Sands subdivision.
The relationship between Russell and Popeman has not been revealed. Law enforcement continues to investigate.
At approximately 11 a.m. Sunday, deputies were asked to check a residence in the subdivision due to a suspicious incident, deputies said. When deputies arrived, they found Russell and Popeman dead.

According to the Sheriff’s Office report, Deputy Clayton Harrison went to the residence and saw a man who he said was at the residence to check on his friends and discovered the bodies.
Major Crimes Investigations was called to the scene.
