A former Conover fire chief faces fraud charges
A former Conover fire chief has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies related to providing false information on fire incident reports, the city manager confirmed.
Mark Henson resigned from his position on August 14. He has held this position since 2003.

Channel 9 learned of the arrest on Tuesday, but we are working to confirm the date of his arrest.
Channel 9 is also working to find out how many accident reports have been affected by this and what lies ahead for Henson.
