Most fans know about her pop hits, charity work, and acting career, but the country legend is also the co-owner of two businesses.

Not everyone is “destined for great success,” Barton says, but he’s encouraged Generation Z workers To work hard and take advantage of their talents and opportunities.

“When you have the opportunity to see your dreams come true, you build what they call a brand, and then you become someone that people trust,” she says. “And if these dreams come true, you will make deals with people.”

Barton is no stranger to the importance of brands. Since 2022, Parton has been working with Duncan Hines and its parent company Conagra to release its Dolly-branded cake mix.

“People say: Why do you sell cakes and pies?” “And I think, ‘Because I can and that’s good,'” she told BI. “And that’s also part of my heritage. Even though I love music, I love cooking.”

Barton also tells BI that workers shouldn’t be afraid to change career paths.

“If you see yourself going down a path of doing one thing and it doesn’t work, I’ve always said it’s OK to change horses mid-dream,” she says.

“You may have learned enough about who you are after God directs you in a different way,” Barton adds. “So the main thing is to work hard, believe in yourself — and do it.”
